Composite, white fillings are a common cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry procedure performed by Dr. Azimi here in Las Vegas. They give the tooth a more natural look and are deemed healthier than the traditional amalgam metal fillings.
The white tooth filling is made of a durable mixture of plastic and glass. This material is very pliable, giving Dr. Azimi the ability to precisely mold it to create the look of a natural tooth.
Once Dr. Azimi has drilled the tooth, a bonding agent is applied and the filling is then added to the tooth, molded to the desired shape, and cured (hardened) with a special light. Excess material is then removed and the filling is further shaped and polished to resemble a natural tooth.
